According to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thao, Director of Bich Thao Coffee Cooperative, Son La, Chieng Coi Ward: The price of coffee at the beginning of this year is twice as high as last year because many coffee growing areas in Brazil are affected by climate change, many areas are forecasting a decrease in output of about 60%, causing a decrease in coffee supply. In Son La, although this year's coffee crop is also affected by the weather, the output has not reached expectations, but it still increased by about 30% compared to last year.

Along with the joy of farmers, coffee processing companies and factories have completed preparations from equipment, recruiting workers, and preparing conditions for purchasing, processing, and processing coffee. Bich Thao Son La Coffee Cooperative currently has 500 hectares of specialty coffee, of which 50 hectares are grown according to organic processes, meeting the strict standards of importing countries. In addition, the Cooperative also cooperates with hundreds of households and cooperatives in the area. It is expected that by the end of October, when the coffee gardens are ripe, the Cooperative will begin producing high-quality specialty coffee lines. The Cooperative has invested in increasing the capacity of the coffee processing line from 20 - 40 tons to 60 - 80 tons of fresh fruit/day and night.

Phuc Sinh Son La Joint Stock Company is also ready to enter this year's coffee production season. Mr. Vu Viet Thang, Director of the Company, shared: The Company continues to maintain and improve the system, upgrade the processing line, invest in some specialized equipment, increase the current capacity by about 15% and maintain the Cascara tea processing line (from coffee husks) meeting the standards of the British Association, with a capacity of 10 tons of ripe fruit/day.
