On October 7, ATVN newspaper reported that female singer Quan Thuc Di is in critical condition and has been taken to the intensive care unit (ICU) for emergency treatment.
According to East Weekly , Quan Thuc Di's biological father and son were present at the hospital with a dazed and sad expression. Some witnesses said that the son sat down outside the hospital room, hugging his pillow and crying, making many people feel sorry.

Sources said the singer's friends and relatives took turns staying on duty day and night, not daring to leave the hospital for fear that the situation could suddenly take a turn for the worse.
In recent years, Quan Thuc Di has repeatedly been the center of attention for her erratic behavior and was accused of assaulting hotel staff. After leaving her management company in 2020 due to disagreements, she has largely withdrawn from the entertainment industry.
Born in 1966, Quan Thuc Di is famous for a series of hits such as: Winter Sonata, Love Like Leaves Flying Far Away, Hard to Get a Sincere Lover . Her unique and emotional voice helped her become one of the top divas of the Hong Kong music scene in the 1990s.

However, at the height of her career, she was constantly entangled in rumors of mental instability, causing her career to be interrupted.
In 2001, Quan Thuc Di suddenly disappeared from the music scene because she was pregnant and then went to Canada to give birth to a son. It was not until 2005 that she confirmed that she had given birth out of wedlock.
Quan Thuc Di has had many mental breakdowns, including falling into the sea in 2016, but was fortunately saved. In 2012, she worried her fans when she posted a desperate status, saying she “didn’t want to live anymore”, raising serious concerns about the singer’s mental health.
