Spread the spirit of mutual love

In addition to launching support, the Central Office of the Vietnam Journalists Association directed the implementation units, in which the Vietnam Journalists Association Electronic Information Portal connected social resources to participate in support and coordinated with local Journalists Associations to support people to overcome the damage of storm No. 3.

After gathering information on difficulties and support needs from the local Journalists Association, the Central Office of the Vietnam Journalists Association distributed necessities to the affected localities. The necessities include rice, drinking water, daily food, etc., all transported from the program "Bridge for free transportation of relief goods for people in storm and flood areas" of Giao Thong Newspaper.

Also responding to the call from the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association, the Journalist and Public Opinion Newspaper coordinated with units and donors to deliver urgent gifts to people in the flooded areas of Yen Son district. Officials and members of the Journalist and Public Opinion Newspaper went to the places to deliver gifts to families that suffered heavy losses due to natural disasters in Chiem Hoa district...

The essential foods sent to people in flood-affected areas include: 200 cartons of milk, 35 cartons of dry food, 200 cartons of instant noodles, 100 cartons of sausages, 200 cartons of TH mineral water, 300 banh chung, 20 cartons of rice cakes, 200 flashlights,... and many other necessities. Although the gifts are simple, they are the sentiments of each cadre and member of the Journalist and Public Opinion Newspaper, carrying the desire to warm up the difficult circumstances, the flood-affected areas... to encourage people to overcome the current difficulties.

Along with localities across the country, in recent days, millions of hearts of journalists at all levels across the country have turned to the northern provinces and cities. In Quang Tri province, since knowing that storm No. 3 and its circulation have caused great damage to people and property in the northern provinces. Press agencies in Quang Tri province have continuously published information about the damage caused by natural disasters in the northern provinces. The articles aim to promptly convey the flood situation to readers, thereby spreading the spirit of mutual love, sharing and support of the people of Quang Tri to the people of the northern provinces affected by natural disasters.

In particular, right after the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association called on all levels of Journalists Associations, press agencies and journalists nationwide, the Quang Tri Provincial Journalists Association launched a campaign to support its branches and members.

Journalist Truong Duc Minh Tu - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Editor-in-Chief of Quang Tri Newspaper, Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association emphasized that for a long time, when Quang Tri was affected by natural disasters, people across the country always turned to Quang Tri, to the Central region. This time, when people in the Northern provinces unfortunately encountered natural disasters, the people of Quang Tri in general, and journalists of Quang Tri in particular, with all their affection, responsibility, and compassion, wished to contribute with the people of the whole country to help people in the storm and flood areas to overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.

AI also wants to contribute a small part

In Kien Giang province, although it is the southernmost province of the country, in recent times, journalists in the province have been active in propagating the situation of storms and floods in the North. The provincial press agencies consider this as one of the ways to support people in a special way to call for solidarity to overcome difficulties. In each news and article, journalists in Kien Giang include content in the spirit of urgent and necessary support at that exact time.

Journalist Doan Hong Phuc - Permanent Vice President of the Kien Giang Provincial Journalists Association said: Since the direction of the Vietnam Journalists Association and the official dispatch of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, many friends and colleagues working in agencies and businesses have called the Provincial Journalists Association to ask about the most appropriate and fastest ways to support. Some businesses have supported money and goods through the Provincial Journalists Association.

Along with the participation of the Kien Giang Provincial Journalists Association, the branches also mobilized members, everyone had the spirit of mutual love. Everyone wanted to contribute a small part to the work of supporting compatriots. Despite the geographical distance, the compatriots' love was always close.

“Everywhere we are, we are Vietnamese, and no matter where we are, we have a spirit of helping our compatriots who are facing natural disasters. Like before, when our compatriots in the South faced many difficulties due to floods and natural disasters, our compatriots in the North enthusiastically supported us. Now, when our compatriots in the North are facing difficulties, our compatriots in the South are ready to support us. We all have the spirit of joining hands to help our compatriots in the North overcome the consequences of the storm,” journalist Doan Hong Phuc shared.

At the Voice of Vietnam, after a period of mobilization, journalist Dong Manh Hung - Head of the Editorial Secretariat, Permanent Vice President of the Voice of Vietnam Journalists Association, and his colleagues directly donated money and necessities to support people in difficult circumstances affected by floods in Trang Dinh district, Lang Son province.

Journalist Dong Manh Hung shared: Given the damage and loss that people have suffered, we hope that the funding and goods provided by the press agencies in coordination with a number of businesses and donors will be quickly distributed to people in flood-affected areas. In the process of overcoming difficulties, the press agencies will continue to accompany and support local people to soon stabilize their lives.

On September 17, authorized by the Vietnam Journalists Association, the Cao Bang Provincial Journalists Association coordinated with Cao Bang Youth Ready-mixed Concrete Company Limited to give necessities and money to students of Ca Thanh Kindergarten, Primary School and Boarding Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities (Nguyen Binh District) affected by storm No. 3.

The delegation sent words of encouragement to the students who were severely affected by the recent floods. At the same time, they gave 100 new clothes to the children of Ca Thanh Kindergarten and Primary School; 100 T-shirts to the secondary school students; 50 packages of dry food; 4 cartons of milk to the students; and 2 million VND to each household that unfortunately had people die in the landslide. The support was supported by the Vietnam Journalists Association.
