Universities in Ho Chi Minh City expect minimum scores for health majors

(NLDO) - Nguyen Tat Thanh, Van Lang, Hong Bang International Universities... have successively announced the expected minimum scores for admission to health majors.

In general, the floor scores of universities this year have decreased, some schools have decreased by 3-4 points compared to 2024. However, in the health sector, there is not much difference.

The minimum score for majors in the health sector with a practice certificate is announced by the Ministry of Education and Training, applying the admission method using high school graduation exam results.

Nguyen Tat Thanh University announced a slight decrease in the minimum score for the health sector. In the admission method based on high school graduation exam scores, the expected minimum score for the medical and dental majors is about 22 points, 23 points based on the admission method based on academic records; in the admission method based on the competency assessment test scores of Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi National Universities, the school takes the minimum score from 600 - 650 points for the Ho Chi Minh City National University exam and 75 - 85 points for Hanoi National University.

Other majors such as preventive medicine, nursing, medical testing technology, and rehabilitation technology are expected to have a minimum score of 19 points for admission based on high school graduation exam scores and academic records; 550 points for admission based on National University of Ho Chi Minh City's National University Entrance Exam scores and 70 points for the National University of Hanoi's exam.

At Hong Bang International University, the official minimum score for the method of considering high school graduation exam results and the admission method combining high school graduation exam scores with grade 12 transcripts (1 transcript subject + 2 high school graduation exam subjects) is 15 points, applied to admission for all regular university training majors in all groups of majors, including 2 majors in the health field: public health and nutrition.

Particularly for health-related fields that require a practice certificate/practice license such as: Medicine, traditional medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, midwifery, medical testing techniques, rehabilitation techniques and medical imaging techniques, the minimum admission score will be applied according to the input quality assurance threshold prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training.

Floor score of Hong Bang International University

The health sector at Van Lang University includes medicine, pharmacy, nursing, dentistry, and medical laboratory technology. Admission requirements apply to all methods, except for the high school graduation exam score method: Candidates must have good academic performance if applying for medicine, dentistry, pharmacy; and good academic performance if applying for nursing or medical laboratory technology. In addition, candidates must meet the input quality assurance threshold according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Floor score for 59 regular university majors in 2025 of Van Lang University

It is expected that today (July 21), the Ministry of Education and Training will meet and announce the floor scores for the health and teacher training groups in 2025.

In 2024, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the minimum score for the health sector with a practice certificate, the minimum score for medicine and dentistry is 22.5 points; for pharmacy and traditional medicine is 21 points; for nursing, preventive medicine, midwifery, medical testing techniques, medical imaging techniques, rehabilitation techniques, and dental prosthetic techniques is 19 points.
