Research on virtual reality technology in construction
Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu, 41 years old, Deputy Head of the Department of Construction and Construction Management, Head of the Building Information Modeling Simulation Laboratory (BIMLab) of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, is a rare female candidate for associate professor in the construction industry this year.

Dr. Thu graduated from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, and received her master's and doctorate degrees from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand.
Her main research interests are project management and construction business management; research on the application of building information modeling; research on the application of high technology in construction management: 3D Laser Scanning technology, virtual reality technology, augmented reality and mixed reality.
To date, Dr. Thu has guided 1 doctoral student and 19 graduate students to successfully defend their master's theses. The number of scientific articles that the female candidate has published is up to 96. Of these, 11 articles are in prestigious international journals Scopus/ESCI/ISI, 59 are in the country, 26 are published in proceedings and conferences at home and abroad.
"Rose" of the cryptography industry
Dr. Tran Thi Luong, 41 years old, Deputy Head of Information Security Department, Academy of Cryptography, is a candidate for associate professor of information technology.
She graduated from the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Information Technology, University of Science - Vietnam National University , Hanoi , and has a master's and doctorate in cryptography engineering at the Academy of Cryptography Engineering.

Dr. Luong's main research direction is to develop secure and efficient block ciphers and dynamic block ciphers. In addition, she focuses on some methods to ensure data privacy and security; detect vulnerabilities and network attacks based on machine learning.
The female candidate won the National Outstanding Female Technology Student Award ( Ministry of Science and Technology ) when she was a student, received several certificates of merit from the Government Cipher Committee for her achievements in supporting the team to win first prize in the international competition "Cyber Seagame 2022" and for her outstanding achievements in information security training.
Dr. Luong has guided 9 graduate students to successfully defend their master's theses. She has published 47 scientific articles, including 10 scientific articles in prestigious international journals; and published 3 books.
Passionate and persistent with multi-antenna radio systems
Dr. Nguyen Thu Phuong, 41 years old, Head of Information Department, Faculty of Radio Electronics, Military Technical Academy, is a candidate for associate professor of electronics.
She received her bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in electronics from the Military Technical Academy. Dr. Phuong has persistently pursued the research direction of space-time signal processing for multi-antenna radio systems, with the overarching goal of effectively exploiting the channel characteristics to enhance spectral efficiency and improve the system’s error performance.

In addition, she researches and optimizes advanced communication models towards 6G networks, focusing on advanced system architectures, from optimizing multi-user access with non-orthogonal multiple access and beamforming, to reshaping the transmission environment with cell-free architecture, airborne base stations, and reconfigurable smart surfaces.
The female doctor has published 35 scientific articles, including 15 scientific articles in prestigious international journals; published 1 book and guided 4 graduate students to successfully defend their master's theses.
Conquering the aerospace field
At the interdisciplinary Faculty of Mechanics and Dynamics, Dr. Le Thi Tuyet Nhung, 42 years old, is one of three female associate professor candidates out of a total of 45 candidates approved by the interdisciplinary Faculty Council.
Dr. Nhung is currently a lecturer in the Aeronautical and Space Engineering group, Faculty of Power Mechanics, School of Mechanical Engineering, Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

She received a bachelor's degree in aeronautical engineering and a master's degree in energy and engineering from the National University of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering in Poitiers (ENSMA Poitiers), France, and a doctorate in mechanical and materials engineering from the National University of Arts and Vocational Training (ENSAM), France.
Dr. Nhung focuses on two research directions including design, durability testing and damage analysis in materials and structures of vehicles, aerospace equipment and multi-physics calculations, simulation of fluid-structure interactions.
The female candidate has published 50 scientific articles and reports, of which 42 are the main author, 7 are published in ISI/Scopus journals. She also guided 6 graduate students to successfully defend their master's theses.
Application of artificial intelligence in the field of transportation
As one of the few three female associate professor candidates among 41 qualified candidates in the transport sector, Dr. Nguyen Huong Duong, 42 years old, is currently a lecturer in the Bridge and Underground Construction Department, Faculty of Bridges and Roads, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering.

She graduated with a BA in bridge and road construction, a master's degree in structural engineering from National Taiwan University and a PhD in civil engineering from Ghent University, Belgium.
She focuses on researching the application of artificial intelligence algorithms combined with vibration measurement data to determine structural damage and researching the construction of digital twin models of buildings using advanced technologies.
Dr. Duong has guided 2 graduate students to successfully defend their master's theses, published 23 scientific articles (19 as the main author), including 13 scientific articles in prestigious international journals SCIE/Scopus/ESCI, 5 conference reports in the Scopus category, 5 articles in prestigious domestic journals. In addition, the female candidate has published 2 books.
