(GLO)- On the afternoon of June 28, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai province coordinated with the General Department of Sports and Physical Training to award the best athletes at the 2023 Central Highlands Kickboxing Championship.

Accordingly, the Organizing Committee awarded 18 sets of individual medals corresponding to 18 weight categories, including 8 women's weight categories and 10 men's weight categories. In the overall results, Gia Lai won first place with 6 gold medals, 5 silver medals, 6 bronze medals; Nghe An team ranked second with 6 gold medals, 1 silver medal, 1 bronze medal; Binh Dinh team ranked third with 3 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 4 bronze medals.

This year's tournament has the participation of nearly 100 athletes from 10 units in the Central Highlands region with a strong Kickboxing movement including: Gia Lai, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Nghe An, Quang Nam , Lam Dong, Army, Ninh Thuan, Dak Lak and Kon Tum.

The tournament is an opportunity for athletes in the region, especially young athletes, to compete and learn to improve their professional skills. Through this, it is aimed at discovering new factors to nurture and train to participate in domestic and international tournaments.
