(NLDO) - The female Mercedes driver got out of the car and burst into tears after causing the accident.

On March 17, Ho Chi Minh City Police are detaining female driver NTTN (41 years old, residing in Thu Duc City) involved in the collision with 10 motorbikes to investigate the violation of road traffic regulations.

Regarding the accident, the authorities determined that the female driver N. drove the car in the wrong lane (lane for motorbikes, no cars) and caused the accident. However, the driver had a class B2 driver's license.

At the same time, police also found a letter with negative content in the car.

Upon verification, the female driver had gone out drinking due to family issues. She then drove to the cemetery in Long Thanh My Ward, Thu Duc City to visit her father’s grave. However, at the Thu Duc intersection, she caused an accident involving 10 motorbikes.

Before that, at more than 5:00 p.m. on March 16, female driver N. (41 years old, living in Thu Duc City) drove a Mercedes car on Vo Nguyen Giap Street, from Thu Duc City to Dong Nai Province. When the car reached Thu Duc intersection, it slowed down due to a red light, but suddenly rushed forward and hit a series of motorbikes waiting in front.

The car continued across the intersection, dragging a motorbike under it before stopping. According to witnesses, the female driver then got out of the car and burst into tears.
