On November 2, the Ho Chi Minh City Inland Waterways Port Authority announced that it will not use cash when collecting fees and charges in handling administrative procedures at the Ho Chi Minh City Inland Waterways Port Authority and its affiliated Inland Waterways Port Authority representatives, from 0:00 on November 15, 2023.

Subjects subject to cashless toll collection include enterprises, organizations, and individuals performing administrative procedures in the field of maritime and inland waterway traffic under the jurisdiction of the Ho Chi Minh City Inland Waterways Port Authority.

From November 15, Ho Chi Minh City Inland Waterways Port Authority (Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport) will not collect administrative fees and charges in cash.

Payment method through the 24/7 system of commercial banks. Specific information is as follows: Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam, bank account number according to the instructions of the fee and charge collector under the Ho Chi Minh City Inland Waterways Port Authority.

The payment syntax is as follows:

• Case 1: Pay fees and charges for entering and leaving ports and inland waterways: SODANGKY_NGAY (Example: SG1111_01/07/2023).
• Case 2: Pay inland waterway reporting fees and charges: SODANGKY_TRINHBAO_NGAY (Example: SG1111_TRINHBAO_01/07/2023)
• Case 3: Pay the fee for appraisal, approval of security assessment, security plan of inland waterway port receiving foreign watercraft: TENCANG_NAY (Example: CANGA_01/07/2023).
