According to the announcement of the State Securities Commission (SSC), in recent times, there has been a phenomenon in the market of some individuals claiming to be employees of securities companies and fund management companies calling to invite people to invest in securities through participating in forums and groups on social networks such as Facebook, Zalo... or downloading, installing and using trading applications (apps).

Accordingly, these subjects introduce people to stock investment opportunities, and invite them to participate in forums and groups on social networks to receive stock investment advice, stock trading, or download, install, and use trading applications (apps).

In the face of the above situation, the State Securities Commission recommends that people raise their vigilance when receiving phone calls from strangers; be careful and consider avoiding being lured into participating in applications (apps), forums, and groups on cyberspace with the purpose of investing in securities. When participating in the stock market, investors need to equip themselves with knowledge about securities, the stock market, and find information related to the stock market at the official channels of management agencies, market operators, and securities business organizations with securities consulting and brokerage functions licensed by the State Securities Commission to avoid being scammed and having their assets misappropriated.

In case of suspicion or detection of individuals impersonating securities companies or fund management companies to provide false information and other fraudulent acts, people are requested to immediately notify the authorities for handling in accordance with the provisions of law.
