Oliver Tarvet, born in 2003, played very confidently against Carlos Alcaraz but could not cause any surprises. Tarvet clearly showed his inferiority in class to Alcaraz in many situations, especially in decisive moments.

Oliver Tarvet lost the first set quickly with a score of 1-6. The English player played better in the next two sets but could not stop Alcaraz from winning 6-4, 6-4. Despite being eliminated in the second round, Oliver Tarvet's journey at Wimbledon was truly memorable.

To be able to face Alcaraz in round 2, Oliver Tarvet had to go through three qualifying matches before defeating Leandro Riedi in round 1. This journey is truly unimaginable for a player ranked over 700 in the world .

After the match, Alcaraz praised Oliver Tarvet for having a great match, even though the Briton had only played two matches in the main draw of a Grand Slam tournament on the main court with a lot of pressure. Alcaraz believes that if he continues to train hard, Oliver Tarvet will go far.

After a turbulent first round, order has been restored in the second round of Wimbledon 2025 as most of the top players have qualified for the next round. The latest big name to be eliminated was fourth seeded Italian Jasmine Paolini, who lost 2-1 to Russian Kamilla Rakhimova.
