Federer rates Alcaraz as favored at Laver Cup 2025

(Dan Tri) - Tennis legend Roger Federer believes that the 2025 Laver Cup Organizing Committee in Germany favored Carlos Alcaraz when choosing the competition court.

In an interview on September 22, legend Roger Federer admitted that the 2025 Laver Cup Organizing Committee chose a court surface that was more biased towards Carlos Alcaraz.

The former Swiss tennis player assessed that the court surface used at the Laver Cup 2025 makes the ball bounce quite slowly compared to other indoor courts. That will create an advantage for stronger tennis players like Carlos Alcaraz or Jannik Sinner.

However, Carlos Alcaraz did not have a successful performance at the Laver Cup 2025, when he lost to Taylor Fritz in two sets on September 21.
