Gas station in Binh Dinh caught fire because a customer threw away a cigarette butt.

On the morning of June 16, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Binh Dinh Province Police said a fire broke out at a gas station on Tran Hung Dao Street, Hai Cang Ward, Quy Nhon City (Binh Dinh Province).

According to local residents, the fire broke out at around 8am the same day. At that time, a customer drove his motorbike into the gas station to fill up.

While the gas station employee was filling up the tank, the customer continued smoking and threw the cigarette butt on the ground, causing the fire to flare up fiercely.

Mr. Van Viet (Hai Cang ward) said there was a loud explosion and a fire broke out immediately after.

Immediately afterwards, the fire department arrived at the scene and controlled the fire.

Fortunately, the fire did not cause any casualties. However, 3 petrol pumps and 1 motorbike were burned down.
