VNPT deploys new model: Lean, data-based operations

October 1, 2025 marks an important turning point in the innovation journey of Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group ( VNPT ) when it officially operates a new production and business organization model. This is part of the development strategy until 2030, with a vision to 2035, aiming to build VNPT into a leading national digital enterprise.

Implementing Decision 620/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister and Resolution 186/NQ-CP, VNPT has carried out a comprehensive restructuring, merging VNPT-VinaPhone Corporation and VNPT-Media into the parent company. The goal of the restructuring is to streamline the apparatus, reduce intermediary points, and at the same time strengthen decentralization and delegation of authority with clear responsibilities.

According to Decision 99/QD-VNPT-HDTV-NL, from August 27, 2025, these two corporations will become dependent accounting units. This is a strategic step to help VNPT operate flexibly, optimize resources and improve management efficiency.

The consistent spirit of the new model is “customer-centric”. VNPT aims to develop diverse and seamless services, proactively grasp and lead market trends instead of just passively reacting. The goal is to improve customer experience, optimize sales channels and thoroughly handle bottlenecks in production and business.

At the same time, VNPT continues to expand its digital service ecosystem, from telecommunications, IT to education , healthcare, and digital government, to meet the increasingly diverse needs of society.

In the context of global digital transformation, VNPT identifies data as a core asset. The Group is converting its entire management system to a data-driven model, where every decision – from strategic planning to service operations – is based on real-time data.

The application of modern technology such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data and cloud computing helps VNPT automate processes, improve transparency and the ability to respond quickly to market fluctuations.
