The match in round 2 of V-League 2023-2024 between Hanoi FC and Hai Phong FC at Hang Day Stadium on October 29 will not have the presence of Hai Phong fans.
According to Disciplinary Decision No. 395/QD-LĐBĐVN of the Disciplinary Board of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) issued on August 4, 2023, Hai Phong fans are banned from entering the field for the next 1 match between Hanoi Club and Hai Phong in national professional football tournaments, because Hai Phong fans caused insecurity and safety; lit many flares on the field in the match between Hanoi Club and Hai Phong Club on August 2 in V-League 2023.

To ensure good security and safety, the tournament organizers request the match organizers, Hanoi Club, and Hai Phong Club to coordinate and ensure compliance with the content of Disciplinary Decision No. 395/QD-LĐBĐVN in accordance with regulations.
At 3:00 p.m. on October 25, VPF will have a meeting with the match organizers to discuss preparations and other important issues.
Security issues in matches between Hanoi FC and Hai Phong FC have been raised in many past seasons, when fans often set off flares, affecting the professionalism and quality of the matches. In the second round match of last season, fans set off flares, causing a young spectator of the visiting team Hai Phong to be burned and had to be taken to the emergency room.
Hai Phong Club played the opening match of V-League 2023-2024, drawing 1-1 with HAGL at Lach Tray Stadium. Coach Chu Dinh Nghiem and his team are in the middle of the rankings.
Meanwhile, Hanoi FC has not played its opening match against Binh Duong FC due to being tied up in the AFC Champions League. Over the past 10 years, Hanoi FC has often had good results when playing against Hai Phong FC at Hang Day Stadium.
The match between Hanoi FC and Hai Phong FC in round 2 will take place at 7:15 p.m. on October 29. This is a match expected to use VAR.
