Together with all levels of associations and unions, Ninh Chau Commune Farmers' Association is always a companion of the people and poor farmers, actively creating trust and motivation for members to strive for economic development.

Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Ninh Chau Commune, Nguyen Quang Ninh, said that in recent times, the Farmers' Association of the Commune has flexibly and creatively implemented propaganda, mobilization and orientation work for members to promote the advantages and natural conditions of the locality and the State's support policies to transform the structure of crops and livestock towards commodity production, bringing valuable plants and breeds into livestock and cultivation; focusing on building family economic models for high income.

The Association has coordinated with the Commune People's Committee, departments and branches to carry out the work of hunger eradication and poverty reduction, fight against the mentality of waiting and relying on others, gradually change the way of doing things, and determined to reduce poverty sustainably. To create favorable conditions for members to develop the economy, the Association has played a good role as a bridge, promptly transferring credit capital to the people.

The Association cooperated with the Social Policy Bank and the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development to establish 25 savings and loan groups with 1,019 members; the total outstanding debt of credit programs is over 62 billion VND. Hundreds of farmer members in the area have risen up to develop the economy and improve their lives thanks to policy credit capital.

Mr. Hoang Vu Thuat, Phu Ninh village said: "Every year I raise a crop of fish in cages on the river with more than 1,000 barramundi and more than 500 silver pomfret, brown fish... After deducting expenses, my family earns more than 50 million VND. With the support of the Commune Farmers' Association, many households in Phu Ninh village have developed the profession of raising crabs in plastic boxes, bringing in a stable income."

In addition to "opening the way" for members to build economic models and strive to get rich, the Ninh Chau Commune Farmers' Association also focuses on gathering and uniting members by mobilizing the establishment of cooperatives, cooperative groups, and professional associations; training and transferring science and technology to members and farmers in the commune. This helps to solve employment, increase income, and ensure the rights of members. In addition, the Association has helped 20 households to escape poverty, contributing positively to reducing the annual poverty rate by 1%-2%.

Synchronously deploy multiple solutions

To contribute to poverty reduction and promote socio-economic development in the locality, in recent times, Ninh Chau commune has always focused on synchronously implementing solutions and support policies to create jobs and increase income for people; including job creation in the action plan to carry out socio-economic development tasks; focusing on disseminating policies of the Central and the province on job creation and poverty reduction to the people.

Along with that, relevant unions, departments and offices actively create jobs for workers through loan programs and projects to support job creation, maintain and expand employment. Thanks to that, people actively implement on-site production models that bring high economic efficiency and create jobs for rural workers, such as: cage fish farming in Phu Ninh village, snail farming in Tan Dinh village, seafood purchasing and processing in Huu Tan village, agarwood production in Trung Quan village...

With the motto "No one is left behind", the work of caring for the lives of poor households and policy families has been carried out with attention by the Party Committee and the government of Ninh Chau commune with many meaningful and practical activities, contributing to the good implementation of social security policies in the locality.

Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ninh Chau Commune, Tran Quyet Thang, said that from 2024 to now, the Commune Front has coordinated with the higher-level Front to mobilize resources to build 23 new houses and repair 1 "great solidarity" house for poor households, near-poor households, households in especially difficult circumstances, and households affected by natural disasters with a budget of over 1.1 billion VND.

The Front and socio-political organizations coordinated to organize the programs: "Support to go to school", "Godmother", "Foster child of the Union"... to support and give gifts to 284 poor, orphaned students, and those in difficult circumstances with the amount of nearly 125 million VND. In addition, the Commune Front also launched a campaign for the People to support the "For the poor" fund with 154 million VND, helping 287 poor people, poor students, and people in especially difficult circumstances.

Thanks to the synchronous implementation of solutions, Ninh Chau commune now has 137 poor households and 215 near-poor households. By 2030, Ninh Chau commune strives to reduce the multidimensional poverty rate to below 0.5%.

According to Chairman of Ninh Chau Commune People's Committee Le Ngoc Huan, in order to effectively implement poverty reduction work, in the coming time, Ninh Chau Commune will continue to strengthen propaganda and dissemination of policies and laws on poverty reduction; well implement policies and especially take care of the lives of people with meritorious services and policy beneficiaries; mobilize the active participation of the entire political system, the response of the people, and diversify capital sources for poverty reduction work.

Continue to effectively implement the national target program on sustainable poverty reduction; the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the area; pay attention to vocational training for workers associated with the sustainable poverty reduction project, job creation and labor export; fully implement social security policies and regimes for policy beneficiaries, poor and near-poor households, etc.
