According to information from Hanoi Medical University, on October 14, at the Embassy of the Republic of France in Hanoi, the "Club of former doctors and pharmacists studying in the Republic of France" was launched, marking the success of the medical training cooperation program between France and Vietnam. The club will be a place to share and update information on medical cooperation between Vietnam and France, creating a connection between generations of Vietnamese doctors and pharmacists who have studied and trained in France, and a foundation to promote the younger generation to continue to develop and inherit the tradition in medical and pharmaceutical training between Vietnam and France.
Since 1993, with the support of the French Government , many medical training projects, expert exchanges, and the provision of medical equipment and medicines have been implemented. The programs for training doctors and pharmacists in France (FFI, later DFMS/A), inter-university training in Vietnam (DU/DIU, FMC), supporting the development of university hospital centers (CHU) in Hanoi... have not only contributed to the modernization of the Vietnamese health system but have also trained thousands of excellent specialists for the country. Many of them have become leading experts in their fields, holding important positions in the health sector.
