The first Tay Ninh boy of the Vietnam team

In 2013, Thanh Nhan was admitted to the PVF "furnace" at the age of 10, but his parents refused to join because they were worried that their child was too young, before he attended the football talent class of Tay Ninh province.

In 2019, coach Philippe Troussier, then the Technical Director of PVF, discovered Thanh Nhan's potential when he played for Tay Ninh in the national U.17 tournament.

Just 1 year later, Thanh Nhan won the 2020 National U.17 Championship with 5 goals. After that, this boy from Tay Ninh shrimp salt village won 2 more consecutive National U.19 Championships, and he personally won the title of best player of the tournament in 2021 with 7 goals.

It can be said that Nguyen Thanh Nhan is the one who understands very well the way coach Philippe Troussier builds the playing style and vice versa, the 68-year-old coach understands very well the qualities and potential of the student born in 2003 who scored 10 goals in the First Division in 2022.

Before Nguyen Thanh Nhan, Tay Ninh football had contributed 2 young players to the Vietnam U.19 team, including goalkeeper Tran Minh Toan (currently playing for Binh Duong Club) and defender Tran Anh Thi ( Long An Club), who played alongside the generation of Cong Phuong, Tuan Anh, Van Toan, Quang Hai, Duy Manh...

The attacking midfielder of PVF CAND Club shared: "When I was young, I was very proud to see two seniors playing for the U.19 Vietnam team. That was a great inspiration for me personally.

I was lucky to be trained at Tay Ninh Club and later PVF, which helped me to be equipped with the basic foundations and get closer to my dream of becoming a professional player.

I was also very lucky to be given the opportunity to play at PVF CAND Club, so that at the age of 20 I had 3 seasons of professional competition. But perhaps in my dreams I would not have dared to think that I would have the opportunity to play for the Vietnam national team at this time, on a world- class stage like the 2026 World Cup qualifiers."
