Haaland scored 5 goals, Norway won 11-1

(Dan Tri) - Striker Erling Haaland had an incredible performance when he contributed 5 goals and assisted 2 goals, helping the Norwegian team beat Moldova with a score of 11-1 in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers on the morning of September 10.

This is the first time in 56 years that a European World Cup qualifying match has had 12 goals. The record was set by Germany in 1969 when they beat Cyprus 12-0.

When the game became too easy, midfielder Thelo Aasgaard also showed himself with a poker (4 goals) against Moldova in the 67th, 76th, 79th and 90+1st minutes. Interspersed with Haaland's 5th goal in the 83rd minute after a pass from Julian Ryerson, closing the match with an unbelievable score of 11-1. The only goal Moldova got was an own goal by Leo Skiri Ostigard in the 74th minute.
