Newcomer PVF-CAND breaks losing streak in V-League

On the afternoon of September 20, PVF-CAND Club held Da Nang to a 2-2 draw at home in round 4 of V-League 2025 - 2026.

After a slow start to the match, Da Nang FC was the first to open the scoring. From a cross by Nguyen Phi Hoang, PVF-CAND defender Nguyen Bao Long missed his header, allowing the ball to reach Phan Van Long’s feet and the away team’s striker did not miss the opportunity to shoot from close range to bring the lead to 1-0.

PVF-CAND responded to equalize 1-1 after exactly 7 minutes. In the 37th minute, Thai Ba Dat scored a one-touch shot from outside the penalty area into the top corner of the goal, causing goalkeeper Phan Van Bieu to fly helplessly.

In the 45+1 minute, goalkeeper Phi Minh Long of PVF-CAND made a mistake when blocking David Henen's shot from a tight angle. Although the Da Nang striker's shot was not too strong, Minh Long let the ball easily pass through his legs and roll into the net.

Coach Thach Bao Khanh sent Hoang Vu Samson onto the field in the second half to find an equalizer and this naturalized striker did not disappoint the coaching staff.

In the 86th minute, from a teammate's high pass into Da Nang's penalty area, Samson rushed in, controlled the ball for a moment, then finished beautifully, leveling the score at 2-2.

In the final minutes, Da Nang FC pressed forward in search of victory. They had 1 shot hit the crossbar and 1 shot hit the post of PVF-CAND's goal in regret. 2-2 was the final score of the match.

By drawing with Da Nang, PVF-CAND temporarily broke the losing streak in V-League 2025 - 2026. 4 points after 4 rounds is not a bad start for the rookie team in the national championship.

In round 5, coach Thach Bao Khanh's team will host Hoang Anh Gia Lai at home on September 27.
