(NLDO) - Authorities are investigating and clarifying the cause of a large fire at a scrap warehouse, with a column of smoke rising hundreds of meters high.

On the afternoon of December 1, speaking with a reporter from Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Cong Anh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghi Phong Commune, Nghi Loc District, Nghe An , said that a large fire had just broken out at a scrap warehouse in the area.

Previously, according to initial information, the fire broke out at around 2:30 p.m. on December 1. At this time, people suddenly discovered a fire breaking out at a scrap warehouse in Hamlet 9, Nghi Phong Commune, Nghi Loc District, Nghe An Province.

The fire then quickly engulfed the entire scrap warehouse, smoke from the fire rising hundreds of meters high.

Upon receiving the news, the authorities were present at the scene to help put out the fire. By 5 p.m., the fire was under control.
