More than 1,000 students experience being firefighters

On September 29, the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department (Ca Mau Provincial Police) coordinated with the Board of Directors of Phung Ngoc Liem Primary School (Bac Lieu Ward) to organize the experiential activity "We are firefighters".

More than 1,000 students of all grades were educated about common causes of fires and explosions at home and school; fire prevention skills such as: turning off unnecessary electrical appliances before going to bed and leaving the house, not playing with flammable objects, trying to find a way to escape the fire and calling the fire department at 114 .

The children were excited to participate in the experiential activities.

In addition, the children were also instructed and practiced using powder and gas extinguishers to extinguish fires; using wet towels to cover their noses and mouths to limit inhalation of toxic gases. At the same time, they experienced using specialized water hoses to control and extinguish fires.

This is a meaningful and practical activity to raise awareness and responsibility of teachers and students in proactively implementing regulations on fire prevention and fighting.

In the coming time, the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department will strengthen coordination with schools in propaganda work to contribute to building a safe school environment and effectively promote the movement "All people participate in fire prevention and fighting" in the community.
