On March 15, news from the Chau Doc City Police Investigation Agency ( An Giang ) said that the unit has just issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused, and temporarily detain Nguyen Tuan Thanh (26 years old, residing in An Phu District) and Nguyen The Tuong (45 years old, residing in Long Xuyen City, both in An Giang Province), to investigate the act of intentionally causing injury.

According to the initial investigation results, Thanh and Tuong had a conflict over customers. On the morning of November 6, 2023, Tuong brought a homemade knife to Thanh's store in Chau Phu B Ward, Chau Doc City, challenging them to fight. Thanh was angry, but was stopped by everyone, and Tuong was taken elsewhere.

A while later, Thanh took a homemade knife and rode his motorbike to find Tuong to resolve the conflict. After a while, he saw Tuong standing at the alley near his shop with a knife. Thanh got off his motorbike and the two used homemade knives to slash each other, injuring both of them.

Immediately afterwards, both were taken by local people to An Giang Provincial General Hospital for emergency treatment. According to the assessment, Tuong suffered 20% injuries and Thanh suffered 12% injuries.

After a period of collecting evidence for investigation, Chau Doc City Police (An Giang) decided to prosecute and temporarily detain Tuong and Thanh for intentionally causing injury.
