More than 92% of gasoline retail stores issue electronic invoices for each sale.

Nearly 15,000 petrol retail stores issue electronic invoices for each sale.

The General Department of Taxation has just provided information on the implementation of electronic invoice issuance after each sale for petroleum business activities.

Accordingly, by March 24, 14,727/15,981 petrol retail stores nationwide had issued electronic invoices for each sale, estimated at 92.2% of the total number of petrol retail stores.

41/63 localities have achieved progress of over 90%; 14 localities have completed: Nghe An, Thai Nguyen, Quang Tri, Binh Duong, Hanoi, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Dak Lak, An Giang, Ben Tre, Bac Ninh, Ha Nam, Dien Bien, Ninh Binh, Tra Vinh .

The number of stores that have not yet issued retail invoices for each sale is 1,254, accounting for about 7.8%.

The General Department of Taxation requests the Directors of the units to continue to focus on directing the functional departments to strictly, resolutely, and thoroughly implement the instructions and strive to complete the implementation in the localities by March 31.

Recently, to strengthen the management and use of electronic invoices in petroleum business and retail activities, the Prime Minister has consecutively issued two dispatches directing the Ministry of Finance , People's Committees of provinces and cities, and relevant functional branches to implement.

To implement the above instructions, the General Department of Taxation has issued many documents directing the Tax Departments of provinces and centrally-run cities to urgently strengthen management, inspection, supervision, and promote the issuance of electronic invoices after each sale for petroleum business and retail activities.

The General Department of Taxation requests local Tax Departments to immediately advise the People's Committee to direct local agencies, departments and branches to proactively coordinate with tax authorities to urgently deploy synchronous and effective solutions, and resolutely require retail gasoline businesses to issue electronic invoices after each sale in accordance with the provisions of law and the direction of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Finance.

Most recently, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed and issued an Official Dispatch on strengthening measures to manage petroleum products and strictly implementing regulations on electronic invoices for petroleum trading and retail activities.

The dispatch emphasized that the world situation continues to be complicated and unpredictable, affecting the price and supply of gasoline and oil in the world and in the country. Many businesses and stores that trade and sell gasoline and oil have not strictly followed the regulations. Smuggling and commercial fraud in the gasoline and oil sector still pose a risk of complicated developments...

Therefore, the Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Industry and Trade to regularly monitor and grasp the situation of the world and domestic petroleum market. From there, proactively take early and remote measures according to authority and regulations to meet the demand for petroleum for production, business and consumption activities of the people.

"Absolutely do not allow shortages or disruptions in gasoline supply under any circumstances," the Prime Minister emphasized.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade directs petroleum businesses and petroleum retailers nationwide to properly and fully comply with legal regulations on petroleum trading.
