- On the morning of October 21, the Customs Branch of Region VI held a conference to announce the results of the assessment of competitiveness and quality of operation and management at the grassroots level (CDCI) in 2025. This is the first year that the Customs Branch of Region VI organized the CDCI assessment. The implementation of the CDCI assessment aims to record and objectively evaluate the level of satisfaction of enterprises with the management, service and trade facilitation of the customs units under the branch.

Attending the conference were leaders of the Customs Branch of Region VI; representatives of customs leaders of border gates and specialized departments under the Customs Branch of Region VI; representatives of the Economic Management Consulting Company (Economica Vietnam).

Through the assessment of import-export enterprises on 8 component indexes (transparency and application of information technology; quality and efficiency of customs procedures, public services; time costs; informal costs; fair competition; business support; dynamism and pioneering; legal institutions), the results of Dong Dang International Railway Station Border Gate Customs achieved 87.38 points (ranked first), Huu Nghi International Border Gate Customs achieved 86.24 points (ranked second); Tan Thanh Border Gate Customs achieved 84.36 points (ranked third).

Speaking at the announcement conference, the leader of the Customs Branch VI affirmed: The CDCI assessment work has received attention, cooperation and active support from the business community. The CDCI results in 2025 are not only an objective measure of management quality but also a basis for units to continue promoting their strengths, overcoming shortcomings, towards the goal of "Professional - Transparent - Effective - Service Customs".
In the coming time, the Customs Branch of Region VI will continue to innovate and reform services for businesses, facilitating trade through Lang Son province. In particular, the key task is to continue to strengthen the application of information technology, promote digital transformation in goods management and supervision; improve service quality, build the image of professional, friendly and responsible customs officers; proactively listen to and receive opinions from businesses, promptly adjust inadequate processes and procedures; promote training, foster professional skills and public service culture, create a dynamic and modern working environment.
The CDCI assessment results for 5 border customs units this time are not only a picture reflecting internal capacity but also an important premise for improving the DDCI assessment index (competitiveness index of departments, branches, sectors and People's Committees at the grassroots level) in 2025 of the Customs Branch of Region VI.
