Presenting 160 gifts to support veterans of Gia Sang ward

On the morning of October 20, the Veterans' Traditional Liaison Committee of the 305th Airborne - Special Forces Division visited and presented gifts to support veterans in Gia Sang ward, Thai Nguyen province who suffered losses due to natural disasters.

At the program, 160 gifts (with a total value of nearly 50 million VND), including: Rice, instant noodles, cooking oil, drinking water, MSG and many necessities were given to veterans who were severely affected by the recent natural disasters. This is a timely source of encouragement, helping veterans overcome difficult times and gradually stabilize their lives after the floods.

Representatives of the Liaison Committee of the 305th Airborne and Special Forces Division expressed their deep sympathy for the losses that the veterans of Gia Sang Ward are suffering. At the same time, they affirmed that the spirit of "comradeship and people-orientedness" will always be preserved and spread by the veterans through practical actions.

According to statistics from the Gia Sang Ward People's Committee, the floods caused by storm No. 11 caused an estimated loss of more than VND1,059 billion to the locality. The entire ward has 4,288 households flooded, many residential areas, public works, educational facilities and traffic infrastructure were seriously affected. More than 315 hectares of rice, 146 hectares of vegetables, 77 hectares of ornamental peach trees along with nearly 1,200 pigs and thousands of poultry were swept away; many businesses, warehouses and people's vehicles were severely damaged...
