According to the Department of Transport Infrastructure Maintenance (Department of Construction), as of 4 p.m. on October 7, due to the impact of storm No. 11, Hanoi had four more road incidents.

Specifically, on Den Soc Street, Route 2, heavy rain caused landslides and rock and soil to slide down onto the road surface and drainage ditches, causing traffic safety problems; Nguyen Trai Street (Khuat Duy Tien intersection); Van Phuc Street (Chu Van An intersection); Nguyen Tuan Street (Le Van Luong intersection) had arrow island pillars that collapsed and shifted.

Immediately after discovering the incident, the units temporarily barricaded the road, cleared the road to ensure traffic safety, and informed the people to regulate traffic.

As of 3:00 p.m. on October 7, there were two incidents of trees falling onto the streets in the city. The Road Maintenance Department has directed road management and maintenance units to notify tree management units to organize cleanup and be on standby to direct traffic on the roads to ensure safe and smooth traffic. At the same time, coordinate with competent agencies to guide and direct traffic if necessary.

Thus, as of 3:00 p.m. on October 7, in the city, there were 37 locations where water had drained and traffic was running normally; there were a total of 106 flooded locations, of which 83 were still able to flow and 23 were deeply flooded and unable to flow.

Regarding flooding incidents, the Maintenance Board has directed road management contractors to properly implement the plans issued by the Department of Construction, specifically as follows: Flooded locations from 10 cm or less are 5 locations; flooded locations from 10 cm to 20 cm are 27 locations; flooded locations from 20 cm to 30 cm are 57 locations; flooded locations greater than 30 cm are 17 locations.

The Maintenance Board has directed road management contractors to continuously monitor, assign people to be on duty to guide traffic flow and install warning signs at flooded locations. At the same time, information is announced to the mass media and VOV traffic channel to guide drivers to move smoothly and ensure traffic safety. In addition, water levels on 4 inland waterways are also regularly monitored and updated to promptly handle emergencies.
