Although Christmas is still nearly a month away, many shops in Ho Chi Minh City have spent a lot of money on themed decorations.

The temperature in Ho Chi Minh City this month is always between 31 - 33 degrees Celsius. (according to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station) still does not make it difficult for young people to wear winter fashion and spend hours on makeup to have sparkling virtual photos.
'Fashion beats the weather'
Talking with Tuoi Tre Online , Vu Thi Lan Anh (23 years old, Go Vap district) shared that despite the very hot weather, she did not hesitate to wear a sweater to get photos that truly reflected the Christmas spirit in her mind.
"I chose to go in the morning so I wouldn't have to jostle with everyone, even though the weather was very hot during the day. Working year-round in Ho Chi Minh City, it's really hard to have the opportunity to take a photo shoot with a warm sweater. Christmas is the most suitable time," Lan Anh said.
Many people do not hesitate to change three to four outfits to take full advantage of the decorative corners at the shop.
Nguyen Khanh An (24 years old, District 7) said that although the shop will charge extra for the second set, she is still happy to pay to have the photo sets posted gradually from now until the end of the year.
An said: "Going to a cafe with many virtual living corners and only taking a few photos is a waste of effort, so I invested in three outfits to fully exploit the space of the shop. The additional charge of 100,000 VND for the second outfit is not too expensive when I get a quality photo set."
Le Minh Duc (21 years old, District 4) felt quite surprised when the shop was crowded, even with no tables even though the shop was still in the process of renovation. Duc was very excited about the novelty when the cafe updated with new Christmas characters such as tin soldiers, elves, labubu...
"The prices of the lavishly decorated shops are not cheap, especially compared to the financial capacity of students. My group of friends stayed at the shop for quite a while taking pictures with all the beautiful scenery," Duc added.

Hope to increase revenue through Christmas decorations
Mr. Chau Trung Nghia, manager of the April Tea Shop (District 3, Ho Chi Minh City), shared that the shop spent hundreds of millions to decorate in Christmas style. The shop did not charge extra fees because it hoped that this golden time would bring in a steady and continuous flow of customers. From there, the shop would gradually recover the capital it had spent.
"There are quite a lot of young people and families with small children coming, so it's difficult for the staff to control. There have been many cases of children breaking decorations and losing property during big holidays, so the shop will improve the quality of support and service," Trung Nghia shared.
Similarly, Ms. Le Thi Hong Quyen, owner of Kimwon Tea Shop (Thu Duc City), was worried that her shop would not stand out in this year's "Christmas village", so she invested heavily in 100% new decorations.
She also regularly updates and grasps decoration trends to meet customers' needs. At the same time, she creates different photo angles to create highlights.
Representatives of some coffee shops in the central areas of District 1 and District 3 said that the decorations will be stored and reused for the following year to limit waste to the environment. However, this also poses a challenge in thinking of new decorations that do not overlap with the previous year.
