President Vo Van Thuong and Philippine President visit the Imperial Citadel

At 4:00 p.m. this afternoon, President Vo Van Thuong and Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. visited the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long ( Hanoi ). This is a sideline activity during the State visit of the Philippine President and his wife to Vietnam.

During the visit, the two leaders were introduced to the traditional Vietnamese New Year celebrations taking place at Doan Mon Square.

President Vo Van Thuong and President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. interacted and took photos with Tay ethnic families, local people and tourists in a space imbued with Vietnamese culture.

On the eve of Lunar New Year 2024, Thang Long Imperial Citadel organizes many cultural exchange and experience activities with colorful decoration space.

The traditional Tet feast with the characteristics of the people of the Northern Delta was recreated and introduced to the two leaders. The traditional meal includes: Nem, pork roll, fried pork roll, bamboo shoot soup, shrimp and mushroom soup, Tet jam...

In addition to enjoying the Imperial Citadel, the two leaders visited the exhibition house displaying 1,000 years of underground artifacts and treasures of Thang Long Imperial Citadel.

President Vo Van Thuong and the President of the Philippines listened to an explanation about the ancient stone well; the Kinh Thien Palace relic, the most sacred place in the ancient Thang Long Forbidden City.
