Many practical activities to celebrate Vietnamese Women's Day October 20

In celebration of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union and Vietnamese Women's Day October 20, many outstanding activities have been organized recently.

One of the outstanding programs in recent times was the Ceremony to receive the First Class Labor Medal - a noble award awarded by the Party and the State, recognizing the outstanding achievements in innovating the content and methods of operation, performing well the representative function of caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of women, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland of the Vietnam Women's Union at all levels.

In order to promote the patriotic emulation movement, welcome the Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party, the 5th Patriotic Emulation Congress of the Vietnam Women's Union was also held with the theme: "Vietnamese women unite, innovate, create, compete to build a developed, strong and prosperous Vietnam" demonstrating the will, aspiration and determination of women across the country in the new period.

Also on this occasion, the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union organized a special emulation campaign to achieve achievements in celebration of the country's major holidays and events, which received enthusiastic responses from all levels of the Union and women of all walks of life. In summary of the special emulation campaign, the Women's Union at all levels carried out more than 5,000 projects and 15,400 tasks; built 1,700 new ones and repaired more than 1,000 charity houses with a total value of projects/tasks worth nearly 267 billion VND.

In the series of emulation activities, the Vietnam Women's Award ceremony was also held. This is an annual national award for Vietnamese women individuals and groups with outstanding talents and achievements in all areas of life. In 2025, the Women's Talent Award Fund Management Board organized the award ceremony for 15 winning groups and individuals.

From now until the end of the year, a number of key activities will be organized such as: Summarizing the Government 's Project "Supporting Women to Start a Business in the 2017-2025 Period" (Project 939) and praising typical cooperatives managed by women, creating jobs for female workers in 2025; activities responding to the Month of Action for Gender Equality and Prevention and Response to Gender-Based Violence...

The above practical activities create a vibrant competitive atmosphere among cadres, members and women nationwide; arouse the tradition of solidarity, creativity and aspirations of Vietnamese women. This is also an opportunity to affirm the maturity of the Women's Union and the women's movement, promote the active role of women in Party building, the political system and national development. Thereby, contributing to promoting the successful implementation of socio-economic, defense and security tasks, spreading the spirit of innovation and integration, associated with welcoming the Party Congress and Women's Congresses at all levels.
