Preparing for the 2026 Economic Census and the 2025-2030 Consumer Price Survey

(CT) - On September 26, Can Tho City Statistics organized a training conference on surveying the 2026 Economic Census and Consumer Price Survey for the 2025-2030 period.

At the conference, delegates were introduced to the consumer price survey plan, survey form; survey network, network review; instructions on the process of collecting information and checking data; introduced software for managing, monitoring, checking data completion; CAPI software for collecting information. Mr. Tran Ho Binh Tuy, Deputy Head of Statistics of Can Tho City, said: Through the training, we will help equip ourselves with full knowledge, skills, and implementation procedures to ensure the correct investigation plan, ensure progress and quality of collected information. Lecturers and delegates actively discussed and promptly answered any problems, thereby ensuring that the implementation at the local level takes place smoothly, synchronously, and accurately.

The 2026 Economic Census is one of the important censuses of the Statistics sector, conducted periodically every 5 years. For the Consumer Price Survey for the period 2025-2030, monthly consumer price data will be collected from October 2025, as a basis for calculating the consumer price index (CPI) with the base year 2024.
