With the tradition of "drinking water thanks to the source", always respecting the predecessors, for many years, stage artists have come to the Ho Chi Minh City Artists' Nursing Home on holidays and the death anniversary of the stage founder to burn incense to commemorate the predecessors considered the founders of the profession, who have contributed to and created the way of singing.

Therefore, when the veteran artists were accepted to live until the end of their lives at Thi Nghe Nursing Center, they wished to invite the ancestral altar and portrait of the late People's Artist Phung Ha to their new residence.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, former Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, came to congratulate the longevity ceremony of People's Artist Phung Ha.

During the ceremony to receive artists from the Ho Chi Minh City Artists Nursing Home held at the Thi Nghe Nursing Center (morning of February 27), the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association, together with the Board of Directors of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and the Board of Directors of the Thi Nghe Nursing Center, also moved the ancestral altar and portrait of the late People's Artist Phung Ha to the Artists' Building located in the Thi Nghe Nursing Center.

On holidays, young actors often come to the Ho Chi Minh City Artists' Nursing Home to burn incense at the Ancestral Altar and the altar of People's Artist Phung Ha's portrait.

"So that every day the artists can burn incense to their ancestors, burn incense to the late People's Artist Phung Ha - the person who made many contributions to building the Artists' Nursing Home, the person considered a giant tree, a senior artist of the reformed theater world" - Mr. Ton That Can, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association said.

Meritorious Artist Ca Le Hong and People's Artist Tran Minh Ngoc attended the longevity ceremony of People's Artist Phung Ha.

People's Artist Phung Ha is a giant of the 20th century Vietnamese theater. Throughout her life, she lived and died for the art of traditional opera, leaving a deep impression on the audience with a series of famous roles: Lu Bu - also known as Lu Bu (play "Phung Nghi Dinh"), Duong Quy Phi (play "Love story of Duong Quy Phi"), An Loc Son (play "Duong Minh Hoang du nguyet dien"), Nguyet Nga (play "Kieu Nguyet Nga"), Nguyet (play "To Anh Nguyet"), Luu (play "Doi co Luu")...

In addition to his acting talent, People's Artist Phung Ha also made great contributions to training the next generation of artists. People's Artist Phung Ha was also the initiator of the construction of the Artists' Retirement Home in District 8, the Artists' Pagoda and the Artists' Cemetery in Go Vap District - Ho Chi Minh City.

In his last years, despite his old age and poor health, People's Artist Phung Ha still actively participated in charity work, bringing joy to poor families.
