Japanese and Korean experts discuss maritime safety in Hai Phong

Dozens of lecturers, researchers, and experts from Japan, Korea, and Taiwan (China) attended the workshop, sharing and discussing many contents on advanced maritime, application of artificial intelligence in training, coaching... in the maritime field.

On September 11-12, Vietnam Maritime University in collaboration with Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology (Japan) organized the 22nd Asian Conference on Maritime Systems and Safety Research (ACMSSR 2025) in Hai Phong City.

Attending the workshop were representatives of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Maritime University, dozens of delegates including leaders, staff, lecturers, and researchers from universities from Japan, Korea, Taiwan (China)...

The workshop was organized to create a forum for exchanging and sharing experiences among scientists and experts in the maritime field; updating the latest research on simulation technology, safety management systems, digital navigation and autonomous ship trends.

At the same time, propose solutions and development orientations to improve maritime safety in the era of technology 4.0. Strengthen international cooperation and exchange in research and training of high-quality maritime human resources.

The sessions will focus on a wide range of topics including: simulation training and coaching, advanced maritime technology; human factors in operations, maritime environmental assessment, accident analysis, as well as new applications (artificial intelligence and offshore wind power).

In addition to the scientific reporting sessions, delegates will visit Hai Phong TIL International Port (HTIT) and some scenic spots of the city, thereby learning more about the development potential as well as the cultural and historical values ​​of Hai Phong city.

Hosting ACMSSR 2025 demonstrates the commitment and efforts of Vietnam Maritime University in innovating training, promoting scientific research, and enhancing international integration.

Contribute to the successful implementation of the goal of building Vietnam Maritime University as a national key university in training and research serving the sustainable development of the marine economy in the period up to 2030, with a vision to 2045 according to Decision No. 1901/2025 of the Prime Minister.
