A total of 1,932 football-related arrests have been recorded across the top six divisions of England and Wales in the 2024-25 season, the Home Office said. This is down 11% on the previous season, with 235 fewer incidents reported.
Man United top the list with 121 arrests, with most of the arrests taking place during matches at their home ground Old Trafford.
The report said: "49% of arrests of Man United fans occurred at home matches at Old Trafford. Of these, 34 were related to public disorder or violent conduct."
Man City ranked second with 94 people arrested, West Ham United ranked third with 77 people arrested. The next positions are Chelsea (76 people), Aston Villa (71), Everton (56), Liverpool (45), Arsenal (42)...
The most common type of arrest was for public disorder (32%), followed by violent disorder (22%) and possession of Class A drugs (19%).
The report also noted an overall increase in the number of bans. As of 1 June 2025, 2,435 fans were banned from entering stadiums in England and Wales, up 12% from the same period in 2024. This is also the highest figure since the 2012-13 season.
In this category, West Ham had the most banned fans with 112, 19 more than in the 2024 season. Man United were second with 108. Chelsea, who were eighth in the list last season with 54 banned fans, moved up to third with 80 banned fans.
