Spring Night Dream (author: Phi Hung - Nhi Kieu, reformed opera: Moc Linh) directed by People's Artist Tran Ngoc Giau.

The play was introduced to the public by Tran Huu Trang Opera House in 2018 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the art of reformed theater.

After 7 years, the play returned in the activities to celebrate Vietnam Theater Day (August 12th lunar calendar) along with activities to summarize 50 years of literature and art after the country's reunification.

The play is the story of a poor theater troupe in the old South when the theater profession was not respected.

Mr. Tuan, the son of the Governor, fell in love with the actress Xuan and left home to join the opera troupe. From there, the play partly depicts the life of drifting on a boat to sing. The feelings of those who carry on the profession of singing when they are despised.

A Spring Night's Dream Through the Generations

Decades ago, the play Spring Night Dream was associated with the names of the "golden generation" of reformed opera artists.

Artists Minh Vuong and Bach Tuyet recorded this play. Then Minh Vuong collaborated with Phuong Lien in a video recording.

Not only that, artists Minh Vuong and Le Thuy also collaborated on the song Spring Night Dream on stage.

After the golden generation of artists is the generation of young artists who have recorded videos of Kim Tu Long and Ngoc Huyen.

It can be said that Spring Night Dream is not only a love story of two people who are considered to be of different social status, but also evokes in the audience memories of old cai luong.

There are behind-the-scenes images of people rehearsing plays, group meals, and hardships that anyone pursuing a career in acting must go through.
