"I know that everyone loves and cares for the North in general and Minh Chuan School in particular, so I say that. We took those photos just to save the memorable moments when the super typhoon passed through as well as its devastation. Cleaning up is what we should do. Not just me, but everyone works like that. There are teachers who have to be on duty, swimming from school to this side, female teachers do not have to work that hard. When people praise us like that, we feel embarrassed" - Ms. Diep shared more.

The female teacher also said that the photo was taken on the afternoon of September 12, when the water gradually receded, leaving a thick layer of mud in the school grounds as well as the classrooms. Ms. Diep's house, right across from the school, was also flooded up to the second floor, so after cleaning up the house, the female teacher and some colleagues and residents went to the school to start cleaning.

After a while of cleaning, Ms. Diep saw a pack of instant noodles. She opened it and ate it raw, then a colleague took a photo with his phone. It was not until the next morning that she realized her photo was being shared widely on social media.

Ms. Hoang Minh Diep, born in 1996, has been working at Minh Chuan Primary and Secondary School since 2019. She is an excellent teacher who is loved by students. Ms. Diep said that she came to the profession of preschool teacher by chance. "When we took the university entrance exam, for every university we took, we would also take the college entrance exam. I passed the preschool education exam and only after pursuing the profession did I realize how lucky I am to follow my mother's career. I get to work in my hometown, close to home and my children, so I really appreciate my current job," said Ms. Diep.
