A video posted on social media, more than 2 minutes long, shows a male student in a school uniform grabbing a female teacher’s hair, pressing her head down, and knocking her down in the classroom. The entire class stood watching, no one stepped in to stop him.
According to the school, on September 16, at around 3:00 p.m., before break time, teacher Tran Thi Thu Ha, homeroom teacher of class 7A14, entered the classroom to remind the students.
While the teacher was giving a warning, she saw Trinh Mai Tr., the class monitor, holding a sharp toy, so she asked the students to give it to her and announced that she would confiscate it because it was a dangerous toy, banned in school regulations.
Upon hearing this, student Le Gia B. stood up and told the teacher to return the toy. Teacher Ha firmly refused to return it and raised her hand high, keeping it out of reach of student B.
Student grabbed teacher's hair, pressed her head, and knocked her down in the classroom.
Student B. pulled the teacher's hair and even pinned her down to snatch the toy back. At that time, the class monitor tried to stop student B. but failed. On the other hand, he reminded the rest of the class to close the curtains so that students in the hallway would not witness the incident.
After leaving the classroom, teacher Ha reported and the school principal and the teacher immediately went to class, asking student B. to apologize to the teacher in front of the class. The two students sitting next to student B., Trinh Mai Tr. and Tran Bao H., were asked to write a report on the incident and answer the question: "Why didn't you take action to stop your friend and rescue the teacher?"
According to the two students' reports, at that time B. was very excited and had a big body so the two students could not do anything.
Immediately afterwards, the school asked student Gia B. to report the incident and invited the student's parents to come to work.
At 4:25 p.m. on September 16, Mr. Le Van Lai, father of student Le Gia B., came to the school to apologize to the teacher and asked for permission for his son to be absent from school on September 17 to go for a mental health check.
On the morning of September 18, student B.'s family texted the homeroom teacher to send the medical examination results and send their child to class, but the homeroom teacher was on the road and did not have time to read the text message. The student's family took their child to class on the morning of September 18.

At around 2:00 p.m. on September 18, the school's two Vice Principals and the homeroom teacher worked with the family and student B. to resolve the matter.
Here, B. and his family once again admitted their mistakes and apologized to the homeroom teacher. The school invited the homeroom teacher to propose a disciplinary measure appropriate to the student's level of violation.
The family presented their situation and wish to take their child home for 10 days of education so that he could change himself and be given the opportunity to change and become a good person. The homeroom teacher agreed with the proposal of B's family.
According to the school's report, the Board of Directors met with the homeroom teacher to encourage him/her and learn from his/her experience in handling students who violated discipline, and reminded all students to absolutely not bring dangerous objects to school. When making mistakes, one must learn from experience and have a proper and progressive attitude towards teachers.
On September 19, the school handled the education of students and stabilized the teachers' morale.
The school is asking the police of Dinh Cong ward to intervene, investigate the source of the clip's distribution without the school's permission and handle it according to the law.
