Vietjet shares hit ceiling, billionaire Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao is the second richest person in Vietnam

(NLDO) - According to Forbes' real-time rankings, billionaire Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao's assets are at 3 billion USD and she is the second richest person in Vietnam.

At the end of the trading session on July 23, VJC shares of VietJet Aviation Joint Stock Company increased to the ceiling price of 108,800 VND/share. Market capitalization reached over 64,300 billion VND.

This is VJC’s second consecutive ceiling price increase, jumping from the price of VND89,000/share two weeks ago. VJC’s liquidity has increased in recent sessions, with more than 1.7 million shares traded today alone.

At Vietjet, billionaire Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao is the Chairwoman of the Board of Directors. The latest statistics show that Ms. Thao owns more than 47.47 million VJC shares, and through Huong Duong Investment Company Limited, she holds an additional nearly 155 million VJC shares.

With a total value of 202.4 million VJC shares, calculated at current market price, this female billionaire has an estimated asset value of more than 22,000 billion VND.

Along with the strong increase of VJC, another stock, HDB of Ho Chi Minh City Development Bank ( HDBank ) - where Ms. Thao is Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, also has a very strong increase in recent sessions.

Closing the trading day on July 23, HDB stock price increased by 4.13% to VND26,500. This is also the second consecutive strong increase of HDB stock, in the context of the stock market trading up.

At HDBank, Ms. Thao is holding about 108.9 million shares of this bank, equivalent to a converted value at the current market price of more than 2,800 billion VND...

Along with the increase in stock prices, billionaire Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao's assets also increased rapidly.

VJC shares hit the ceiling for two consecutive sessions

According to Forbes' real-time ranking, as of today, billionaire Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao's assets are at 3 billion USD and she is the 1309th richest person in the world . Today alone, the total assets of this female billionaire increased by 277 million USD, up 3 places compared to the previous day.

In Vietnam, Ms. Thao is currently the second richest person in Vietnam based on listed companies on the stock exchange, after billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong (Chairman of Vingroup).
