The point for receiving application documents for testing and issuing driving licenses for road motor vehicles at 111 Tan Son Nhi (Tan Phu district) is crowded with people coming to do procedures.

Mr. Le Van Khang (from Nghe An ) said that this place only opens at 7am but he came early to wait to change his B2 driver's license to C1 because it was about to expire.

"There were about 50 people this morning. However, I only waited about an hour to complete the procedures and the traffic police officers enthusiastically guided me through the procedures," said Mr. Khang.

Holding the appointment paper in hand, Mr. Nguyen Nhu Hieu (living in District 3) said that he had just completed the procedure to reissue his B2 driving license to C1 because it was about to expire. At the same time, he changed his paper A driving license to a PET card for convenience.

"Although the task was just transferred, the traffic police officers gave enthusiastic instructions and completed the procedures quickly," - Mr. Hieu shared.

This person also said that in about 4-5 days, his driver's license renewal application will be completed, updated on the VNeID system and considered a valid license.

"In the situation where raw materials and printing ink are lacking, PET card driving licenses cannot be returned, so authentication on the VNeID system helps to create a lot of convenience for people," said Mr. Hieu.

According to Ho Chi Minh City Police, administrative procedures for granting and exchanging driving licenses will not change when the transfer is made between the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Public Security .

People can completely carry out procedures for issuing and exchanging driving licenses as usual as at direct reception points or through the national public service portal.

According to the official announcement from the Traffic Police Department - Ministry of Public Security, from March 1, people who need to issue or change their driving licenses can do it in two ways: come in person (with a fee of 135,000 VND/issue) and do it online (with a fee of 115,000 VND/issue).
