On the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons, October 1, the Ho Chi Minh City Senior Citizens Photography Club (under the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association) organized the opening of the photo exhibition " Elderly People accompanying the country" .
The exhibition introduces 92 photos by 17 authors, capturing beautiful moments of nature, country and daily life across the country.
The highlight of the exhibition is the photo display corner of 10 veteran photographers who have made many contributions to Vietnamese photography.
They are the late photographer Trinh Dinh Thu - founder and first director of the Ho Chi Minh City Senior Photography Club; the late photographer Nguyen Huu Cay, photographers Trieu Hung, Doan Cong Tinh...
“The exhibition honors outstanding veteran photographers who have laid the foundation and guided the club's photography movement over the past two decades.
This is also an occasion to commemorate the photographers who have contributed to building, nurturing and passing on their experiences to the next generation," photographer Manh Hung, head of the Ho Chi Minh City Senior Photography Club, told Tuoi Tre Online .

These photos are not only works of art that last through the years but also witnesses to history and memories of a time.
Mr. Doan Hoai Trung - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association - shared with Tuoi Tre Online that the exhibition shows the solidarity of the club members. These photos not only capture beautiful moments but also highlight the new features of the city today through the depth of the photographers.
“We appreciate the determination and efforts of older photographers who bring beautiful photos, setting a shining example for the younger generation to follow,” Mr. Doan Hoai Trung emphasized.
The photo exhibition "Elderly people accompanying the country" takes place from now until October 5, at the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association (122 Suong Nguyet Anh, Ben Thanh ward).
According to photographer Manh Hung, the Ho Chi Minh City Senior Photography Club currently has 21 members. The oldest member is 92 years old and the youngest is 70 years old.
The club holds monthly meetings on the morning of the 19th at the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association, maintaining a regular and frequent routine.
In addition, the club's board of directors also organizes field trips to capture many photos that show a new perspective on life, the beauty of labor and production, and at the same time convey the passion of the photographer who wants to convey to viewers the simplicity of new people in the new era.
"For the elderly, taking photos is the greatest joy" - photographer Manh Hung confided.
