Former US President Joe Biden is reportedly planning a political comeback to help revive the Democratic Party after its defeat in the 2024 election.
Former US President Joe Biden (82 years old) has offered to raise funds, campaign and do whatever is necessary to help the Democratic Party regain what was lost to the Republican Party, according to NBC News citing informed sources on March 21.

Biden reportedly made the offer in private conversations with Democratic leaders. Last month, Biden met privately with Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairman Ken Martin and offered his support amid declining support for the party, according to sources.
Democrats' support in a recent NBC poll was 27% — their lowest level since 1990.
However, the former president's proposal did not seem to be well received as many activists were concerned about Mr. Biden's age and failure in the 2024 election. Many Democrats were said to be disappointed that Mr. Biden did not withdraw from the race early, leaving then-Vice President Kamala Harris with little time to prepare in the race for the White House with US President Donald Trump and ultimately lost.

However, not all Democrats are dismissive of Mr. Biden's potential role, according to NBC News. DNC Vice Chair Jane Kleeb said he remains popular with voters and would be welcome at party events.
Despite the conflicting views, Mr. Biden and former First Lady Jill Biden affirmed their readiness to campaign and raise funds even after returning to private life in Delaware. The former president still travels to Washington regularly and meets with former aides. After ending his presidential term on January 20, Mr. Joe Biden has actively participated in many social activities.
When asked about the possibility of Mr. Biden returning to politics, President Trump told reporters at the White House on March 21: "I hope so." According to NBC News, Mr. Trump has mentioned former President Biden and his administration more than 400 times since taking office in January. Mr. Biden has not yet responded publicly, but his aides insist he has no regrets and believes the 2024 race was flawed.
