Da Nang reaches 1 million Korean tourists in 2025

On August 1, Da Nang City welcomed its 1 millionth Korean visitor in 2025, marking an important milestone in the tourism cooperation relationship between Da Nang and the key international market of South Korea over the past decade.

Accordingly, the ceremony to welcome the 1 millionth Korean visitor to Da Nang in 2025 was held by the city on the evening of August 1 at Bien Dong Park (An Hai Ward, Da Nang City).

Three special Korean guests, including the 999,999th guest, the 1,000,000th guest and the 1,000,001st guest, were presented with flowers and many meaningful gifts such as souvenirs, air tickets, tours to experience typical local tourism services, etc. by the leaders of the Da Nang People's Committee and the Korean Embassy in Vietnam.

In addition, seven other lucky Korean guests coming to Da Nang on this occasion were also given service vouchers and many meaningful gifts by the city.

In order to express gratitude for the companionship and positive contributions of the tourism business community and Korean tourists to the development of Da Nang tourism in recent times, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang also organized the "Korean Tourist Appreciation Week 2025" from August 1 to 8.

During this time, all Korean tourists coming to Da Nang will receive souvenirs such as conical hats, lanterns, and many preferential vouchers for using tourism services in Da Nang.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang, this is an opportunity to promote the image of "New Da Nang" after expanding its administrative boundaries and introducing high-quality tourism products. At the same time, the city also shows its respect and commitment to long-term ties with the Korean market - one of the key markets, to contribute to completing the goals of the tourism industry in 2025.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Tran Chi Cuong - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City - said that since 2022, Korea has always been the largest international tourism market of Da Nang City. "In 2025, reaching the milestone of 1 million Korean visitors in just the first 7 months of the year not only demonstrates the city's attractiveness, but is also a vivid proof of the increasingly strong friendship between the people of Vietnam and Korea," said Mr. Cuong.
