Da Nang requires strengthening price management and operation

DNO - The People's Committee of Da Nang City has just issued Official Dispatch No. 2450 requesting departments, branches, sectors and localities to deploy price management and operation measures for the remaining months of 2025.

Accordingly, departments, branches, functional forces and People's Committees of communes and wards proactively monitor the market situation closely, especially essential goods such as food, foodstuffs, gasoline, construction materials and medical services.

Units and localities promptly forecast and propose appropriate management plans to avoid shortages of goods and unreasonable price increases during peak holiday seasons.

In addition, organize events, trade promotion programs, fairs, connect supply and demand; fully prepare goods to serve people and tourists during the Lunar New Year 2026.

Inspection and supervision of listing and selling at listed prices have been strengthened, and acts of speculation, hoarding, and spreading false information that cause market instability have been strictly handled.

The City People's Committee directed relevant departments, branches and sectors to strictly manage prices of construction materials, transportation and medical services; monitor and update fluctuations in prices of land, agricultural products and agricultural materials to have timely solutions.

The city police coordinated with relevant forces to promote the dissemination of laws on prices; deploy the fight against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and ensure market security and order.

Localities regularly update market situations; proactively deal with emergency situations that affect prices, promptly report and propose to the City People's Committee for consideration if beyond authority.

For items under consideration for price adjustment, departments, branches and localities, according to their assigned functions and tasks, proactively review price formation factors and coordinate with statistical agencies to carefully assess the impact on the socio -economy and price levels to proactively and promptly submit to competent authorities for consideration of appropriate price adjustments to avoid causing inflationary resonance.
