Da Nang urgently responds to heavy rain and storm No. 12

QNgTV- The People's Committee of Da Nang city has directed localities, units and functional forces to proactively respond to heavy rain and storm No. 12, ensuring the safety of people's lives and property.

According to forecasts, due to the influence of storm No. 12 and cold air combined with East wind disturbances, from the night of October 22 to 27, Da Nang city will experience very heavy rain over a wide area. The total rainfall for the period will reach 350 to 600mm, with some places forecasting over 800mm. Flood peaks on rivers will fluctuate at alert level 2 to alert level 3, with some rivers above alert level 3.

Da Nang City requested relevant units to continue calling on boats to come ashore or find safe shelter, and maintain contact with boats still operating at sea. Requested the Border Guard force, based on the storm's wind and storm developments, to proactively issue a sea ban when necessary. According to a quick report, more than 4,000 fishing boats with about 21,000 workers have returned to safe anchorage, and there are still 168 Da Nang fishing boats operating at sea.

The Department of Education and Training of Da Nang city has also issued a document assigning the Chairmen of the People's Committees of wards, communes, and special zones, and assigning leaders of schools and educational and training establishments to decide, based on the actual situation in the locality and region, to let students stay home from school to ensure safety.
