At the ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Cong Dung, member of the Editorial and Publishing Council of the National Political Publishing House, Truth, said that Treasure is the result of close and dedicated coordination between the Publishing House and Son Tra ward and the companionship of many domestic and foreign artists and photographers.
“Treasure” is 272 pages long, carefully compiled, presented in both Vietnamese and English. With emotional photos, diverse perspectives and a short, concise introduction, the book not only has artistic value but also conveys a profound humanistic message, vividly recreating the majestic nature of Son Tra peninsula - the “precious gem” of Da Nang city.
The book consists of 5 parts: Son Tra Landscape, Breath of the Forest, Son Tra Treasures, Wild Dance, Colors of the Sea... as slices for readers to explore the richness, diversity and uniqueness of nature here. In particular, Son Tra is home to many rare species of flora and fauna, including the red-shanked douc langur, known as the queen of primates.
The photos in the book were selected from many photo contests organized by the People's Committee of Son Tra District (formerly) and from contributions from many photographers. Therefore, the publication is both scientific and artistic. The bilingual publication in Vietnamese and English helps the book spread widely, contributing to promoting the image of Vietnam to international friends.
On behalf of the Editorial Board, Mr. Hoang Son Tra, Secretary of the Son Tra Ward Party Committee, emphasized: “This bilingual book is a valuable document, providing readers with basic information about the diverse ecosystem and beautiful landscape of Son Tra. Through two versions (36x18cm and 24x12cm), the publication preserves the unique values of Son Tra Peninsula - one of the must-see destinations when coming to Da Nang”.
