Chairman of the People's Council of Da Nang City Nguyen Duc Dung shared with the Management Agency of the Amsterdam Smart City Project some orientations and areas of cooperation of Da Nang in promoting the development of science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, and building a smart city.
“Da Nang hopes to continue to receive investment, management and consulting experience sharing from Amsterdam in the coming time to build a smart, modern, unique and livable city,” Mr. Nguyen Duc Dung emphasized.
At the working session with NACO Company, a unit with extensive experience in airport planning in the world and many years of cooperation in Vietnam, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Tran Nam Hung shared information about the investment project and upgrading of Chu Lai International Airport.
Accordingly, Chu Lai airport is planned by the Vietnamese Government to become a 4F international airport. Da Nang is also studying the planning for the synchronous development of complexes around the airport, becoming an urban area associated with trade, services, logistics, and high technology.
City leaders hope that NACO will participate in exploring cooperation opportunities with Da Nang in consulting on airport design solutions that are green, smart, energy-saving, sustainable and in accordance with international standards.
Currently, Da Nang is preparing to call for investment in the Chu Lai International Airport project in early 2026 under the public-private partnership model. The city's leaders hope that NACO will connect quality and reputable international investors in the field of airport investment and operation to Da Nang to explore opportunities for cooperation and development.
