"Make in Vietnam" AI solution honored as trend-setting technology product

Mr. Nguyen Tho Chuong, Director of AI Hay Technology, received the "Trend-Creating Technology Product" award at the Better Choice Awards 2025 gala on the evening of October 3.

Better Choice Awards is a prestigious annual national award co-organized by the National Innovation Center (NIC) and VCCorp Joint Stock Company, under the direction of the Ministry of Finance .

This award aims to honor, promote, encourage and promote innovative values applied in practice to serve the practical interests of consumers.

Part of the Smart Choice Awards, the "Trendsetting Technology Products" category honors pioneering technology devices where core technology, design and experience converge to create new trends, shape markets and consumer behavior.

In previous seasons, this category was a familiar playground for the world's leading brands, but in this year's season, a surprise happened when the AI Hay social network - a domestic AI solution researched and developed by a team of Vietnamese engineers - excelled over the remaining 6 nominations to rank first with 7,498 points and 26,972 votes (nearly double that of the second-place product, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 phone).

AI Hay is built on the proprietary large language model HayLM, with versions HayLM-8B (8 billion parameters), HayLM-14B (14 billion parameters), and HayLM-32B (32 billion parameters), trained on verified Vietnamese data, ensuring accuracy and cultural appropriateness. The platform excels in recognizing linguistic nuances, processing spoken language and social media language, and understanding questions even with incorrect input. This makes AI Hay different from international AI platforms, which often have difficulty processing Vietnamese - a language in the "low-resource language" group with limited digital data.

To do this, AI Hay has integrated a series of advanced technologies. For example, AI Vision uses OCR and image classification to support visual content recognition and processing. Along with that is an intelligent search system that uses text embedding models and text rankers (based on the BERT structure) to synthesize real-time information and provide answers that cite authoritative sources.

In addition, the AI recommendation system can synthesize more than 100 million questions/month to discover and spread new knowledge, personalize user experience based on usage behavior, with the model updated daily. In addition, the deep learning classification model (BERT type, less than 1 billion parameters) helps ensure accuracy in evaluating and updating information sources, keeping information fresh and reliable.

Recently, AI Hay was honored in Forbes' Asia 100 to Watch 2025 list, becoming the only Vietnamese technology startup recognized for its innovation and growth potential. According to a survey by Decision Lab, AI Hay ranked second in Vietnamese user satisfaction with a score of 47%, surpassing many international platforms such as Gemini, Meta AI and DeepSeek, and only behind ChatGPT (51%).
