Da Nang gives away 7,000 Ngoc Linh ginseng seedlings to help ethnic minorities escape poverty

On the morning of July 31, the People's Committee of Tra Linh commune (Da Nang city) organized the program "Ceremony to worship the Ginseng God - nurturing Ngoc Linh" and gave ginseng seeds for livelihood to poor households in 2025.

More than 7,000 ginseng seedlings were given to 33 households to grow to escape poverty.

Previously, the People's Committee of Tra Linh commune wrote a letter calling on businesses and households growing ginseng in the commune to support seedlings to provide livelihoods for ethnic minorities. This is to support Ngoc Linh ginseng seedlings for poor households to develop the economy , quickly escape poverty in a sustainable way.

As a result, 24 businesses and households growing Ngoc Linh ginseng in the area donated more than 7,000 one-year-old ginseng seedlings worth more than 1.4 billion VND. These ginsengs were given to 21 poor households in Tra Linh commune and 12 households in neighboring communes. Each household received 200 Ngoc Linh ginseng seedlings.

Instructing households on techniques for planting and caring for Ngoc Linh ginseng

Along with providing seed support, Tra Linh commune also invited Mr. Nguyen Van Luong's household to provide detailed instructions on soil preparation techniques, planting techniques and care for Ngoc Linh ginseng based on the experience of the Xo Dang people.

Ginseng god worship ceremony in Ngoc Linh commune

On this occasion, Tra Linh commune also held a ginseng worshiping ceremony at Ngoc Linh ginseng temple in Kon Pin village, hamlet 2. This is a traditional ceremony of the Xo Dang people to thank heaven and earth for protecting the ginseng tree to grow well.
