Special regional dishes at the Ministry of Industry and Trade Trade Union Cooking Contest

The cooking contest of the Ministry of Industry and Trade's Trade Union had the participation of 17 teams from units in the Ministry with many special dishes from different regions.


Implementing the 2025 women's work program, on the occasion of the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8, 1910 - March 8, 2025), the Ministry of Industry and Trade's Trade Union organized a cooking contest with the theme "Delicious family dishes, warm love" on the morning of March 6.

The cooking contest is a popular activity among union members and workers, aiming to improve the understanding and housekeeping skills of union members; creating opportunities to exchange and learn, and share experiences in preparing and serving delicious meals at the unit as well as at home.

Cooking competition for union members of the Ministry of Industry and Trade with the theme "Delicious family dishes - warm love" with the participation of 17 teams and more than 100 union members participating in the competition, more especially there are teams with the direct participation of unit leaders and the attention and encouragement of the unit's Head, especially there are teams with 100% of men participating in cooking. With dishes with traditional flavors, rich in national identity.

The contest takes place from 8:30 to 10:30. The jury consists of 5 members of the Standing Committee, the Ministry's Trade Union, the Women's Union, representatives of the College of Tourism and Catering, and Saigon Coop Hanoi Company. Immediately after the judging, the Organizing Committee will announce the results and award the contest prizes.

Cong Thuong Newspaper contributed to the dish Nem cua be (Crab spring rolls wrapped in love). The dish is crystallized from typical ingredients of three regions on the S-shaped terrain. Each crispy spring roll is a journey of special ingredients, gathered from North to South. The dish was highly appreciated by the judges for its idea and preservation of Vietnamese culinary culture .
