Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics supports students affected by storm Bualoi

On the afternoon of October 3, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (UEH) announced that in order to share and accompany students in the face of difficulties caused by storm No. 10 (Bualoi), UEH has implemented support programs for students in areas directly affected by natural disasters.

Accordingly, UEH implements three key policies: Tuition reduction, scholarship support and tuition payment extension.

Full-time university students of Courses 48, 49, 50, 51 with permanent residence in localities directly affected by storm No. 10 (about 3,000 students) will receive a 10% reduction in tuition fees for the final semester of 2025.

UEH also awarded 100 scholarships. Of which, 70 scholarships worth more than 14 million VND each were for students of Courses 48, 49, 50 and 51 of regular university; and 30 scholarships, each worth 12 million VND for students of regular Articulation and Diploma 1, Articulation - Work-study, with a total value of more than 1.35 billion VND.

Conditions for scholarship consideration are based on the following criteria: Students whose family circumstances are difficult due to the impact of storms and floods; have not received a scholarship of equivalent value and a scholarship to support storms, floods, and natural disasters from UEH; have not been disciplined at the level of reprimand or higher during the scholarship consideration semester.

In addition, to support all students in provinces and cities affected by storm No. 10 to reduce financial pressure during the current difficult time, UEH also extended the tuition payment deadline for the first semester of 2026 to January 15, 2026.
