The Congress was attended by 448 official delegates, representing more than 131,487 Party members in the province, including 65 ex-officio delegates and 383 appointed delegates; there are expected to be about 160 invited guests. The preparatory session began at 2:00 p.m. on October 2, and the official opening session took place at 8:00 a.m. on October 3.

The Congress has the task of summarizing the results of the implementation of the Resolution for the 2020-2025 term, pointing out the achievements, limitations, causes and drawing lessons; thereby determining the viewpoints, goals, tasks and main solutions for the 2025-2030 period. The Congress will also discuss and contribute opinions to the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress, and at the same time announce the decisions of the Politburo and Secretariat on personnel work of the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Committee Inspection Committee and the Delegation attending the 14th National Congress.

The theme of the Congress is determined as: "Building a clean and strong Party and political system; promoting the tradition of solidarity; strengthening national defense, security, and foreign affairs; developing science , technology, innovation, and digital transformation; mobilizing all resources to build An Giang province to develop rapidly and sustainably, entering a new era with the country". The motto of the Congress is: "One An Giang - One vision - One will - One belief in victory".

A representative of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission of An Giang Provincial Party Committee said that the preparations for the Congress have been basically completed, ensuring thoughtfulness, solemnity, economy, safety and efficiency. Before the Congress, the province directed the successful organization of Party Congresses at all levels, launched emulation movements, started and inaugurated 10 welcome works and projects, and at the same time promoted propaganda among cadres, party members and people, creating an atmosphere of excitement, trust and orientation towards the Congress.

The 1st Congress of An Giang Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030 is expected to become an important milestone, affirming the determination of the entire Party Committee, government and people in the process of innovation and integration, bringing An Giang to develop rapidly and sustainably, and entering a new era with the whole country.
